Our Maternal‑Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer Training Program is designed for experienced OB sonographers who want to advance their clinical abilities, strengthen their high‑risk imaging skills, and gain confidence working in a specialized MFM environment.
Topics covered:
Our curriculum includes both lecture-based learning and hands‑on scanning with expert guidance:
AIUM‑recommended imaging for first and second trimester detailed anatomy
Identification of common anatomical variants
Spectral Doppler: umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery, and ductus venosus
Dichorionic vs. monochorionic twins and complications that can arise (TTTS, SFGR, TAPS, etc.)
Recognition of common fetal abnormalities, including fetal cardiac anomalies
Critical thinking skills
Advanced image optimization techniques
Experienced OB sonographers who want to advance their clinical abilities, strengthen their high‑risk imaging skills, and gain confidence working in a specialized MFM environment.
Hold a current ARDMS OB/GYN credential (or equivalent)
Have 1+ year of OB ultrasound experience within a dedicated OBGYN or MFM department
Are proficient with:
First‑trimester viability and dating scans
Second and third‑trimester anatomy surveys
Growth scans and BPPs
Can confidently operate and optimize ultrasound equipment
Want to grow professionally and transition toward MFM-level imaging
